Grape Harvest action
LOADRITE install a lot of weighing systems onto grape harvesters and grape gondola bins, this season is no exception with a busy lead up to the harvest testing and calibrating existing system and fitting new. Grapes are weighed in the field to optimise payloads on the trucks heading back to the winery where the grapes are processed. Often the distance between the vineyard and winery and the queues at the winery can delay the weight information returning to the field harvest team, having field based onboard scales speeds up the process. Most harvester based scale systems are connected to data and GPS tracking systems to provide harvest yield overlay information to the viticulturist which in turn also improves pre-season management of the vines to maximise berry volumes and quality.
